Tiny jewels – BIG impact! Fuschia pink earring jewels :-)

I know there are times you want to wear small earrings, you don’t want them dangling all over the place, or they’re in the way for whatever reason. But you still want your jewelry to really show, to show *you* off 🙂 Well I just received a new shipment of these darling little jewels, and they are a wonderful example of using one small gem to make a big statement!

Also of course, let’s get real, sometimes you want to spend very little money (i.e.: be cheap). And added bonus, you also want to be lazy. Me too.

Grab a pair of these beads – add earwires – and presto whammo, you’ve got a great, tiny, gorgeous pair of earrings. That’s all you need.

Seriously. Be cheap. Be lazy. Have fab earrings.

SALE! Emerald Green Glass Teardrops

Woo hoo! I just got a in a big packet of sheer emerald green rhinestone (glass) teardrops. These make beautiful pendants and (if you ask me, which I know you didn’t, but hey) they’re even better for fabulous earrings. Do you remember the famous Angelina Jolie emerald earrings? You see my point 🙂

These emerald rhinestones are available in three different brass settings – silver plated over brass, patina brass (antique finish on new brass), and golden raw brass:

These are just over half the regular price! Normally depending on the settings and condition, these sell for $3.89 to $4.19 a pair. With this great sale, I can offer them for $2.59/pair 🙂

Normally I don’t talk about specific individual jewels here, much less exact prices, because honestly that can vary depending on availability and quality. But right now? These are so worth bragging about.

Gorgeous, affordable, make a necklace, make some earrings. Nobody will know what a great price break you got (unless you want to share!)

Go ahead. Treat yourself 🙂

Personalized DIY Jewelry in Spring 2017 Colors

This is really just a reminder that it’s fun to mix colors and shapes when you create your own jewelry, or make jewelry for sale or for gifts. Adding a bit of whimsy just makes the pieces more interesting. Case in point, a simple example:

And the “personalized” part? You can choose your favorite colors. Or your birthstone colors combined with your boyfriend’s. Or make a gift for your mom using the birthstone colors of you and your siblings. If you don’t see the colors you need in my jewelry supplies shop, just ask – I’ve almost always got more jewels (and colors) than I’ve had a chance to list!

You see what I mean, anyway – play with new shapes and color combos. It’s fun, it’s inexpensive, and it’s cute!

Vintage glass earring jewels – hyacinth orange

I got a resupply of these recently and I have to say, I totally love this color! I made these earrings for a customer – and seeing that fabulous vintage Hawaiian print dress just reminded me I had to show these off 🙂

I mean, with this great color, you don’t have to do a lot. Though they’re fun when paired with other jewels or ornaments – just “as is”, don’t you love them?

(I do!)

Vintage Hawaiian print maxi dress – great for summer!

And that title really sums it up. Don’t you love this dress? It’s vintage, bright, fun, and did I mention affordable? Yes 🙂

vintage shopping - Hawaiian print maxi dress in size 14 medium to large

I saw this adorable dress at Dynamo Vintage on Etsy, and I am so glad I found this shop! Candice, the shop owner and curator, has a great eye for truly wearable vintage fashion. She gives good clear pics and detailed info – just what you need to make online purchases. On this dress for instance, she shows us the tag size (14! not size 2! Yay!) – but she also gives dimensions in inches, as well as fabric content, where it was made, what sort of closure it has (zipper).

And her model pics show how I’d be wearing this. Add some sunglasses – okay, maybe some killer earrings or bangles – a pair of comfy sandals – and I’d take on the world.

You could wear this dress anyiwhere – and look great. That’s what fashion does – when it works.

This dress works!

Easy DIY earring designs

Sometimes easy is what it’s all about. Take these vintage glass beads (rhinestone jewels) and brass charms, for example:

You can see how pretty they are together. Use a jump ring to link them, add earwires, and you’re good to go! Sometimes intricate is wonderful. Sometimes you don’t want to bother. But you still want to look great.

These look great 🙂

Jonquil glass gems – DIY gifts for Mom

This delicate jonquil yellow is another color that’s really popular right now – and I just got more of these pretty oval jewels 🙂

These are a pretty color anytime – but they do feel like Spring, don’t they? And if you’d like to make a Mother’s Day gift there’s still time – these are easy to use, affordable, and have a sweet sparkle.

And she’ll love that you thought of her 🙂

Pink glass teardrops for DIY jewelry

And this is just a quick note – that you don’t have to get fussy and complicated to have a classic pendant or pair of earrings. Find a pretty, flattering color, like these soft pink teardrops:

They’d be lovely for a gift, of course (and Mother’s Day is coming, which I know you don’t need to be reminded or anything). But also for yourself. They don’t cost much, there are a few sizes available so you can be bold or demure (is that still a word?)

They’re inexpensive. They’re easy. That’s a gift in itself. And, you know, springtime. Pink. Looks good.
