Crystal cluster necklace design

Really it would be more accurate to say a “new version” of the cluster necklace design I featured a few days ago. This time I used crystal clear glass stones in three sizes – a 26x13mm teardrop, 10mm round glass gems, and 8mm rounds as well. The gems are handset in silver plated brass settings, and I added sturdy silver plated jump rings to slide the jewels over the chain. They’re free to move around, tumble a bit, and create a new cluster every time you move. It makes the necklace design a bit more organic!

Of course this version, with all crystal clear stones, would be perfect for a bride! But also for prom, for New Year’s, for any special occasion where you want sparkle. Actually this design is versatile enough that you could use it with a formal gown – or a scoop neck longsleeve tee. As always, style it to work for *you*.

Sparkle with affordable jewelry components – take this design idea, adapt it to your own special creative ideas. I think you’ll love it!

Crystal bridal necklace

This is a lovely bridal necklace – and it’s easy to make, affordable, and customizable of course 🙂

The small teardrops here could be personalized with the color of your bridesmaid dresses – or any favorites. The filigree flower could be any ornament or charm that’s personal to you – there’s usually a good way to attach drops (and we can always brainstorm those ideas).

The thing is, you can do it – beautifully – and affordably – and make your wedding even more special and personal.

Love that idea!

P.S. Remind me to come back and talk about coordinating bridal earrings!

Bridal Jewelry for Fall Weddings

Did you know that September and October are fabulous months for weddings? Part of the attraction is that weather isn’t blistering hot – but also that wedding venues and honeymoon destinations can cost less, beginning sometime in September. It’s nice to have a beautiful wedding – and save money too 🙂

It’s cool to save money on your wedding jewelry, too. The earring designs show here are beautifully coordinated for the bride and her bridesmaids. The bridal earrings shown here have sparke – and they’re lightweight too, so they’re comfortable! Such an important plus on your wedding day.

And you could use the same idea – the silver leaf charms paired with round rhinestones – in a color that coordinates with your bridesmaid dresses 🙂 I show sapphire glass gems here – but you know what your color should be. Customize this idea for your bridesmaids!

And remember that “saving money and having a beautiful wedding” idea? Yeah, that works too 🙂

DIY necklace design – perfect for bridal jewelry :-)

This do-it-yourself necklace design idea is a wonderful illustration of how simple concepts can be combined to make beautiful jewelry. And if your new creation is perfect for a bride – well that’s kind of wonderful, isn’t it?

Crystal jewelry is classic for brides, and this necklace features a large faceted oval crystal rhinestone combined with stainless steel cable chain. It’ll never tarnish (or need to be polished) – and as much as I love sterling silver, that’s a real plus, yknow?

Of course you will want to adapt this idea to your own creative style – and the individual tastes of your giftee, or customer. Personalized colors for your rhinestone? Check. Their choice of silver or gold or stainless, or perhaps antique bronze? Check. And there are countless permutations.

The basic idea is a super one – strong gorgeous focal pendant, and you add the personal details. Don’t spend a lot, either. This is DIY the way you want it to work!

White bridal jewels – and a free gift with purchase

Okay, these are two good things: a pretty earring design idea using white bridal jewels. And, a free gift with purchase. What’s not to love?

The bridal jewels are traditional – with a twist. They are classic modern shapes (that are also pretty, and flattering) – but the white teardrops shown here were made in post-war Japan! That’s post World War II Japan – we’re going back a ways! And they’re in wonderful shape. The “white opal” glass octagons shown here aren’t quite as old – they’re from the late 1950s. So – “something old” here – but so fresh and pretty!

And! The “free gift with purchase” thing? Buy these components for your wedding jewels (or for a bride you know, or a bridal customer) – and you get a free gift of another pair of white glass jewels, your choice (subject to availiability). This is a limited time offer (till May 1, 2018) so you probably won’t want to wait too long!

Bridal jewels that are gorgeous – and affordable. And a free gift. Like I said – what’s not to love?

Vintage white jewels

I think of these pretty oval duos as “wedding jewels”. Of course you can wear them for other occasions, but they are so graceful, simple, and feminine, that I think they are perfect for brides:

The little sparkle of color at the top of the setting can be matched to your wedding colors – or of course can be clear, sparkling, bridal crystal. Hmm. You could use crystal for your earrings – and a color stone for your bridesmaids 🙂

DIY. Save money. Sparkling, pretty, bridal jewels. This is all to the good!

Crystal Wedding Jewels

Since I saw that fabulous wedding gown (see previous post), I couldn’t resist showing you these pretty jewels – they’re perfect for a bride!

crystal navette wedding jewels in my Etsy shop

Of course they’d be lovely for other occasions but there are a couple of reason I think particularly of weddings. One of course is the beautiful sparkling crystal navette jewels Second: the low cost. Both those aspects are particularly attractive when you’re planning your wedding 😉

The third main reason is that this lovely feminine shape and size will sparkle beautifully – but they’re not large and heavy. They’ll be comfy and they won’t compete with your gown. Or with you.

And you should be the star of your wedding – not your jewelry. I’m a jewelry designer and I sell jewelry supplies and I’m serious. You = the star. Your wedding. That’s the way it ought to be!
