These “light colorado topaz” teardrops are one of the most popular jewels in my shop. They look festive year round but somehow around the holidays (and New Year’s!) they just specially work, you know? My customers love them. (And so do *their* customers!)
In this two-jewel “duo” setting, the topaz teardrops are paired up with tiny sparkling rhinestones – making it easy to customize them for earrings and pendants. Personalize your color choices!
And right now, they’re on sale! From today through midnight on Monday, August 12, when you buy one pair of these teardrops, you get the second pair free.
You’re going to love them!
And then you can go neutral – with style 🙂 This is not a “black and white” photo – this is a pic of neutral glass gems that have great presence!
The ovals and rivoli round glass gems are black diamond (neutral gray) – and the smaller crystal rounds add sparkle. This is just a reminder that when you make your own earrings, you can create style and pizzazz – with subtlety!
DIY earrings that are easy to make, don’t cost a lot, and look great. Customize them for your friends or your customers – take this idea and make it your own!
Do it yourself jewelry – yes you can do it! One of the best things about making your own jewelry for yourself, for gifts, and for customers is that you can create customized, personalized jewelry, for your giftee or your customer. Start with rich fall colors like these.
And adapt this idea with your own favorite colors – or your customer’s. I just wanted to point out how powerful color is! These are statement earrings – a big hit for Fall.
Color is your friend – and your collaborator. Take this idea, run with it, and make it your own!
This jewelry design idea features a classic combination: hearts and flowers. The hearts shown here are rose pink, sheer vintage rhinestones that measure 12mmx12mm (about 1/2″ long). The brass filigree flower links have a light, antiqued patina – you could choose golden brass if you prefer. Other colors, other metal finishes would work – whatever suits your design aesthetic best.
These earrings would make a wonderful gift for a sweetheart or your mom – or just a fun pair of earrings to sell in your online shop! They’re a favorite with my customers – and they’re made with affordable, easy to use jewelry components.
Ruby is the classic birthstone for the month of July – and I’ve got some fabulous ruby red glass rhinestones, beautifully faceted, available right now 🙂
And the thing you want to know is that from today, June 28, 2019 until July 3, 2019 at midnight, I’m offering a BOGO sale – Buy One Get One Free!
Buy any pair of red glass gems (or a red pendant) and you can get a second pair or pendant free. When you order, just send me a note and say, “send me my extra pair free… I’d like these.” (then tell me which ones!) Equal or lesser value and all that, but that’s the only restriction. This is limited to quanitites I have on hand, so don’t wait too long 🙂
And enjoy your free gift!
This do-it-yourself necklace design features “real” gems (freshwater pearl buttons) with faceted Swarovski crystal elements, and a gorgeous rhinestone oval pendant. I think the combination really works!
The cluster of crystals at the top of the oval pendant adds a bit of complexity to the design – and offers a great way to personalize your design, using your customer’s favorite colors – or hey, the birthstone colors of you and your kids! This is YOUR necklace and your design. You make it the way you like it best!
If I can spark an idea or three, that’s super 🙂 Take this idea and run with it – creating your own special *and* affordable jewelry – that’s the goal!
This pretty earring design idea is another example of how you can combine two simple components into a great jewelry design 🙂

Add earwires or posts, a sturdy jump ring, and your earrings will be ready to wear! I show two different color jewels here – using custom colors is a simple way to personalize your design.
Easy, economical and pretty – this is the way it’s supposed to be 🙂
I just wanted to mention (okay, again) how easy it to make a gorgeous jewelry set – when you have coordinating or matching pendant and earring jewels. Yes, it’s “matchy” – but when you have carte blanche with your outfit, and maybe you got a little crazy with it, it’s good to have a single design motivation for your jewelry. Like these gorgeous rhinestone teardrops:
Truly, you don’t need to do a lot to jazz it up. Just a slender silver chain, and silver earwires or leverbacks. Of course you can do more – add layers, turn the earrings into chandeliers, create a cluster to go with the pendant. Those are wonderful options. But so is the simplicity of a great design – teardrop earrings and necklace that match.
She’ll love it. You’ll love it. This is a win 🙂
The color known as “vitrail” is otherwise known as “Rainbow” – which is a wonderful and appropriate name for the variety of colors that sparkle in these lovely teardrop gems. And in this “duo” multi stone setting, you can customize the tiny stone that complements the teardrop 🙂
These really do work with a lot of different colors – which means if your outfit is mostly green, these will work. Mostly blue, or purple? These will work. Orange or pink? These will work. And added bonus – you can personalize the earrings (or pendants) with the tiny stone color of your choice – the ones shown here are just examples.
And for a few days, they’re on sale! From today through midnight on Wednesday, May 15, 2019, you can get a “buy two get one free” sale. Buy two pairs of these teardrops, and get another pair free. Or find another goodie in my shop that you’ll love.
Beautiful glass gems – plus a sale – this is a win/win!
This do-it-yourself necklace design idea is a wonderful illustration of how simple concepts can be combined to make beautiful jewelry. And if your new creation is perfect for a bride – well that’s kind of wonderful, isn’t it?
Crystal jewelry is classic for brides, and this necklace features a large faceted oval crystal rhinestone combined with stainless steel cable chain. It’ll never tarnish (or need to be polished) – and as much as I love sterling silver, that’s a real plus, yknow?
Of course you will want to adapt this idea to your own creative style – and the individual tastes of your giftee, or customer. Personalized colors for your rhinestone? Check. Their choice of silver or gold or stainless, or perhaps antique bronze? Check. And there are countless permutations.
The basic idea is a super one – strong gorgeous focal pendant, and you add the personal details. Don’t spend a lot, either. This is DIY the way you want it to work!
