I was looking at these gorgeous navy blue (montana sapphire) jewels last night, and my girlfriend mentioned that her mom just loved navy blue. Well, I thought, these would make a great jewelry set for her. Me and my girlfriend worked that out (she’ll dog sit one afternoon, and she got the pretty jewels plus findings and chain. A win-win!)
Anyway, that just got me thinking…Mother’s Day is a couple months off. No rush, right? But hey, maybe you’re making a lot of gifts anyway – or maybe you make jewelry to sell. Mother’s Day is a day to remember! And Moms like lots of different colors. Like these gorgeous montana sapphire stones!
The earring beads come in one-ring, two-ring, or no-ring settings (as shown) so you can make exactly the style you like best. And your mom? She’ll love them!
I just wanted to show off some pretty crystals (glass jewels) that I’m spotlighting this season. Somehow the vivid, bright clear colors just seem so happy!
You can tell from the pics that any of these crystals would make lovely earrings or pendants “as is” – just add earwires or a chain. And you know they can also be combined to make your own special fabulous creations 🙂
And if you mention this blog post when (or after) you order, you can buy any two pairs and get another one free! Just tell me what your freebie should be (equal or lesser value, but really that’s the only catch).
Making jewelry is such fun! And making presents is even better. You save money – and you make someone happy. I mean come on, isn’t that the best combo?
The sale runs from today through midnight on Friday, December 6. Go for it – get creative, save money – and have fun!
Just got a new supply of these gorgeous deep green crystal hearts – emerald green is such a great color. It’s flattering, much easier to wear than (say) olive green) – and of course right now it’s perfect. Great for Fall – and Christmas is coming 🙂
These pretty heart pendants are lovely “as is”. Add a necklace chain and jump ring, and your necklace is ready to wear – feminine, sparkly, and Christmas-y! Or add leverback earwires and you’re good to go. The size here is terrific too – about 5/8″ wide, large enough to have presence (and I mentioned sparkle, right?) – but not so big that they’re too heavy for earrings.
If you’re making DIY jewelry for yourself, for gifts, or for sale – these emerald glass gems are fabulous. You’ll love them!
Amethyst always seems very rich to me – and that doesn’t mean just the gemstones. Amethyst crystals (as rhinestones are often called) – and amethyst glass stones, can be gorgeous without spending a fortune! And today I wanted to show off some restock amethyst and vintage stones I’ve got in my shop right now 🙂
These are fabulous as pendants or earrings “as is” – you really don’t have to add a lot of fussy details, these stones can carry a jewelry design beautifully! Or of course, pair them with your choice of beads, pearls, and crystals – make the design your own. .
And just saying – these crystals make great jewelry gifts. But you knew that already 🙂
Red is a rich, vivid color, and it always makes your outfit a bit stronger. That’s just my opinion, but I’ll stand by it. These earrings are a great example of how you can combine jewelry components to make fabulous jewelry – and not have to spend a lot of time or money to do it.
Of course you can take this idea and customize the colors (and shapes too) – but the basic concept, pairing a strong color in complementary shapes – really works. And the red? Is perfect for fall – and Christmas is coming.
These would be great for gifts, for your holiday outfits – or just because 🙂
I can’t believe it’s almost the end of summer, but the planet does keep moving whether we’re paying attention or not – and Fall isn’t far away. And that means Halloween is coming! I love Halloween – it’s kind of indulgent, it’s fun, you get to play dress-up – and it’s super cool when you can add a bit of Halloween decor to your house!
Now I’m not really a fan of orange and black at home. Just a personal thing. So when I found this fun Halloween wreath, in non-traditional colors, I was a happy camper! It’s got a skull: practically a requirement for Halloween. It’s also made with wonderful colors and a great artistic eye. Tres cool!
The shop is WreathDesignsStudio on Etsy. I haven’t asked (yet) but it’s possible that Pam, the artist, could make a terrific wreath in your customizable colors. And either way, she’s got many different styles and combos already, go peek! I think you’ll fall in love just like I did.
You can check out her Whimsical Wreaths by Pam facebook page too – you’ll find some fabulous wreaths, and I have to add, some animal and pet pictures and stories that will totally melt your heart 🙂
P.S. And of course, Christmas is coming too… and wreaths are so appropriate (and a thoughtful gift too!) Might help to remember that – just saying!
Just an FYI – garnet is the traditional birthstone for January. Garnets are not rare, but finding clean cut, non included garnets can be a challenge – and expensive. But the garnet rhinestones I have in my shop are beautifully faceted, versatile, and they’re super affordable too 🙂
These glass gems are wonderful for necklaces and earrings – and I’m almost always able to ship next day after you order, so there’s still time to get your January birthday present ready. Add your own creative touch, save money, and make a gift she’ll love. This is the way we like it!
P.S. I have a few more garnet rhinestones on the way – if there’s a style or shape you need and don’t see, drop me a note – I might have it already!
This is a really classic combination of faceted stones – sparkling crystal and faceted jet black stones. You could wear these earrings any time of year – and any time of day. But specially for evening chic!
Wear them to show off a summer tan – wear them for Christmas. And did I mention New Year’s? Absolutely!
Black is always in style. Crystal sparkle, even more, and when the crystal is near your face, everything is just a bit brighter. This is of the good 🙂
You really can’t go wrong! Easy, affordable DIY earrings – great for you – great for gifts!
You know how I mentioned I was going to get in some more blue zircon glass jewels? Well here ya go 🙂
I just got the pendants – and wanted to show you a few of the other blue zircon rhinestone jewels I have in my shop right now. Love the color!
and I decided the BOGO sale ought to go on a little longer. Call it an introductory special 🙂 So until midnight on September 16, 2018, you buy blue zircon glass jewels in my shop – you get a freebie. Just let me know which one you want as an equal-or-lesser-value freebie!
(Can you say “early and affordable Christmas gift shopping ideas”? Yes!)
If you’re making a pair of earrings for a gift (or for sale) it’s really popular to personalize those earrings. A simple (and pretty!) way to do that is to incorporate birthstone colors into the earring design. Use the giftee’s birthstone color, or maybe combine the colors of her kids’ birthdays, or maybe his-and-her colors – for example, crystal for the April birthday girl, and emerald green to represent the guy’s May birthday – combine those two colors in her earrings!
That’s just one idea – there are so many combinations and colors that are beautiful together – and meaningful for the person who will be wearing the earrings 🙂
I’m going to show some more ideas using birthstone colors – sometimes it helps to see color combos, and seeing one design or style can sometimes help spark a gazillion new ideas. Let’s have fun with this!
