Crystal oval jewels

These pretty oval jewels are crystal pointed back cabochon stones and they are probably the most popular oval jewel I’ve ever found. Such pretty gems! The size is perfect when you don’t want gaudy but you do want sparkly 🙂

They’re about 1/2″ long. Demure and girly. Also sparkling and sexy. Kind of the perfect stone. Think how pretty these would be for your wedding earrings, or a tiny lovely pendant on a delicate silver chain.

And if you want something a bit more complex, but still not huge, and still sparkly? You can choose the two-jewel setting. Pair your crystal ovals with a tiny rhinestone (and you choose the color!) Wonderful for wedding jewels – and bridesmaids.

Or prom. Or Friday night. Or Sunday. Or, well, you get the idea 🙂

Your logo on jewelry :-)

A little something different – jewelry that features your logo. It’s fun, totally customized and personalized, and in my other shop I make these, so I figured I ought to mention it 😉

your logo on jewelry - these are Act4Murder logo earrings

And hey, this particular example (made a ways back for Act4Murder dinner theater are even black and white – they’d be great with the vintage halter dress I posted about the other day!

Back to my regularly scheduled vintage and rhinestone goodies.

(The logo earrings are pretty cool, though…)

Mommy and Me activewear – a GREAT gift for Mom

I ran across this shop totally by accident – and I LOVE it. Think about it – not only is activeweare useful, but your daughter will love wearing her Mommy-and-me clothes.

Mommy and Me activewear leggings from Malin Boutique on Etsy

This just strikes me as a terrific idea on so many levels. It’s a great gift for Mom – from her daughter (okay, an older daughter) – or from grandma – or from her Significant Other. (It doesn’t cost a lot, it’s going to fit – leggings are pretty forgiving if they’re anywhere near the right size…) – and it’s something she can share with Her Kid. These are all important concepts!

I found them at Malin Boutique on Etsy. It’s a new(ish) shop that definitely needs to be explored and encouraged.

Cute activewear – and stuff you can share with your daughter. This is a win!

P.S. Plus – ACTIVEwear. Which encourages Mom and Daughter to get active, to move, to share. To do physically active stuff. Double win!

P.P.S Okay, this is even better! The lovely ladies in the pic above have a Mommy and Daughter workout video over on YouTube – check it out, it is inspiring!

DIY Rhinestone Glass Jewel Button Earrings

I think these are just darling – earring jewels set into closed, flat-back settings, so you can make your own button or stud earrings. Add a little sparkle to your everyday outfit! These are not Extreme, or dangling, or any of that – they’re just fun and pretty and you can wear them anytime or anywhere.

Rivoli rhinestone jewels for button or stud earrings

These are “rivoli” jewels, which have a faceted point (rather than “flat table”, as in “table tin cut”) on the face of the jewel. They have a wonderful sparkle, and they’re available in vintage patina brass or light golden (raw) brass settings. Use a secure jewelry glue to add an earring post or clip-on to the back, and you have quick and easy and gorgeous earrings.

Lots of colors, too – I show them here in soft rose pink, crystal, peridot green, and light colorado topaz (golden tan) – but I’ll have lots more choices in my Etsy shop– I just took this pic first.

Gifties for your buds, or for yourself – look great, and spend less. This is a good plan!

Red Rhinestone Jewels

Because parties are coming. Christmas, and New Year’s, and office parties, and for that matter, any special occasion you want: ruby and red and crimson and siam are always in style.

and it doesn’t hurt that you can make yourself (or gift your BFF) a pretty pair of classy earrings – for bucko less than it costs to buy them at Macy’s 🙂

Multi Color Glass Wrap Bracelet

Okay, this time it’s not vintage. But the bracelets I found are so colorful, versatile and easy to wear, and inexpensive, and did I mention colorful? I just had to show you guys 🙂 ]

blue green and purple wrap bracelet from wrappedandsnapped on Etsy

Isn’t that a great bracelet? I had a really hard time choosing one to feature here. The shop is WrappedandSnapped on Etsy and the artist, Jennifer, has so many cool bracelets to choose from! She has a flair for mixing colors and textures, and that’s not even mentioning her braided cuffs.

Seriously, you need to go look – these are great for school, for gifts, and like I said – just for fun!

Vintage for the Home

I had intended to do a blog post about another goodie altogether, and I will, later. But then, just a little while ago, by complete accident I saw these:

Vintage Ducks Salt and Pepper Shakers

I’m not usually into “cute”. But these? These aren’t just cute, they are adorable and darling and other words I don’t usually associate with salt and pepper shakers.

I want them to have a good home. They’re from the 1950s. They should be loved for at least another 50. They are currently living with Ms Jeannie Ology on Etsy and I know she wants them to have a loving home too.

If you search for them and they are already gone, I will be sad with you – but then you should look around at Ms Jeannie’s other vintage treasures because there are many and they are wonderful.

Truly, almost, really as special as those little ducks.

Great Gatsby Vintage Style Earrings

I saw these recently and thought they were so graceful and lovely, I wanted to share!

Great Gatsby earrings by Parisienne Girl

This time they’re not even from my shop! They are available on Etsy though, at Parisienne Girl on Etsy. The designer has some lovely pieces inspired by “The Great Gatsby”. There’s something so evocative and, well, Continental about these creations – definitely worth checking out 🙂
