Really I just wanted to point out how pretty clear glass jewels can be! They’re not bright and vivid, but they have their own charm – and a lovely delicate sparkle, all depending on the settings we use, and the faceting of the glass. Take a look 🙂
You see what I mean? These are pretty wonderful. Minimalist jewels, lovely for bridal and wedding jewelry without stealing the show – and of course for everyday, they go with everything.
And for the next few days – from January 26, 2019 through midnight January 30, 2019 – when you buy any two pairs of clear glass jewels, you get your third pair free (yes, equal or lesser value – you know the drill!) Order any two clear pairs (or pendants) – and then send me a note to tell me the ones you want for free. Don’t wait too long, this is limited to the next few days, and available stock.
Hey, buy two, get one free – that’s a pretty great deal!
This is an example of some beautiful bridal earrings that are easy to make yourself 🙂
These white glass cabochon earrings have tiny rhinestones – and you can customize the color. This means you can create your earrings combining bridal white, and the color of your bridesmaids’ dresses. So pretty!
So now you see one more way to make your own wedding jewelry – and save money too!
Here’s another example of how you can combine classic jewelry-making tecniques with simple, strong elements – to create a fabulous necklace that you can totally customize:
The necklace “chain” shown here is made with navy blue pearls, hand-wired together to make the necklace length you prefer. The pendant is a faceted rhinestone teardrop. Combine the hand-wired chain, the teardrop pendant, and decide how you can customize your design (colors? more strands? a cluster at the pendant?) Play with ideas here 🙂
An idea I thought of after I combined these elements… if you don’t want to take the time to hand-wire your beads to make this chain (it’s not a difficult technique, but to do it carefully takes time) – you could buy a simple beaded necklace with no pendant. That beaded necklace could be glass, pearls, crystals, you name it – it doesn’t have to cost a lot. Then add your pendant with jump rings, or bails. Presto: your necklace is unique, and it’s yours, and it’s great!
And speaking of necklaces, and like that: I love it when combining simple, “ordinary” elements can create such a lovely piece of jewelry. Like this one:
The necklace is made of simple, well-made black beads (in this instance they’re black hematite, but they could easily be onyx, or black glass, or ceramic). The idea is that the beads are strong, and simple, and don’t compete with the pendant. And the pendant is a fabulous bright red rhinestone oval that measures a bit over 1″ high. Not huge, but look at the impact!
That’s the beauty of designing your own jewelry – for yourself for gifts. You can customize colors, materials, and sizes – how bold you want to be, or how delicate. Do it yourself, save money, and make exactly what you want!
“On Sale” are pretty interesting words, right? Now this is a sale not everybody knows about – I figured you guys would like to hear. I have some gorgeous teardrop-shaped glass (rhinestone) pendants available in my shop – the pic here just shows a few examples (I love the colors though!)
For the rest of this week, through midnight on January 20, 2019, when you buy two of these gorgeous pendants – any two, your choice – you get the third one free. You just have to tell me which one.
Birthday presents? A gift for your mom? For your bestie? For you (equally valid!) – This is the time. Buy two, get one free. Love it!
As long as we’re talking about birthstones and birthstone colors, you might want to be thinking a bit ahead – and making jewelry for your February birthday ladies 🙂 So I thought I’d show you some amethyst glass gems that would be fabulous for February gifts!p>
I’ll be putting up a few examples of do it yourself jewelry featuring amethyst rhinestones – just to add to the ideas I bet you’re already envisioning. So come back and check soon – there’ll be a sale or two as well!
Our goal for 2019: Do it yourself – and save – and give your loved ones gifts they’ll love!
Just an FYI – garnet is the traditional birthstone for January. Garnets are not rare, but finding clean cut, non included garnets can be a challenge – and expensive. But the garnet rhinestones I have in my shop are beautifully faceted, versatile, and they’re super affordable too 🙂
These glass gems are wonderful for necklaces and earrings – and I’m almost always able to ship next day after you order, so there’s still time to get your January birthday present ready. Add your own creative touch, save money, and make a gift she’ll love. This is the way we like it!
P.S. I have a few more garnet rhinestones on the way – if there’s a style or shape you need and don’t see, drop me a note – I might have it already!
Happy new year! I hope you all had a fun New Year’s Eve, a peaceful New Year’s Day, and are all set for a fun 2019!
Hey, it’s a terrific goal. And of course I think that 2019 should include making your own jewelry – for yourself, for gifts, and for customers too. It’s so easy to get started, and it doesn’t have to cost a lot! Just for example, think how easy it will be to customize this do-it-yourself necklace design idea.p>
The pendant can be your customer’s favorite color – and the golden brass round tags, stamped with her initial. Add more than one, for her kids’ names! (Yes she’d love it!) Start with this basic design, and add your own creative ideas – make it your own!
Do it yourself – and save – and make people happy with their gifts and purchases! That’s a good goal for 2019, too 🙂
