There’s a couple things about this bracelet I wanted to point out. First, these clear gems are so fun when you put them in golden brass settings. Suddenly you have sparkling golden gems (at a much lower price!) And the “cushion cut” faceted gem style works really well for bracelets – good faceting, and not too big or small. The squarish shape (really an octagon with gentle corners) is a classic gemstone cut for a reason 🙂
The bracelet is easy to customize for size – first by varying the number of gems. You can add more small jump rings between each stone, for even more flexibility and subtle size differences. Also, as shown here, adding more (or less) large jump rings at the end make the clasp – and sizing – variable.
This style really works! And as an added incentive – you’ll love this one – the clear cushion cut gems in my shop are on clearance sale! I have quite a few, but still – when they’re gone, they’re gone – you might not want to wait too long.
Besides, since this bracelet can be personalized (size, style and color-wise) it’s a perfect gift for birthdays and Christmas. And hey, for yourself too 🙂
This is a lovely bridal necklace – and it’s easy to make, affordable, and customizable of course 🙂
The small teardrops here could be personalized with the color of your bridesmaid dresses – or any favorites. The filigree flower could be any ornament or charm that’s personal to you – there’s usually a good way to attach drops (and we can always brainstorm those ideas).
The thing is, you can do it – beautifully – and affordably – and make your wedding even more special and personal.
Love that idea!
P.S. Remind me to come back and talk about coordinating bridal earrings!
Did you know that September and October are fabulous months for weddings? Part of the attraction is that weather isn’t blistering hot – but also that wedding venues and honeymoon destinations can cost less, beginning sometime in September. It’s nice to have a beautiful wedding – and save money too 🙂
It’s cool to save money on your wedding jewelry, too. The earring designs show here are beautifully coordinated for the bride and her bridesmaids. The bridal earrings shown here have sparke – and they’re lightweight too, so they’re comfortable! Such an important plus on your wedding day.
And you could use the same idea – the silver leaf charms paired with round rhinestones – in a color that coordinates with your bridesmaid dresses 🙂 I show sapphire glass gems here – but you know what your color should be. Customize this idea for your bridesmaids!
And remember that “saving money and having a beautiful wedding” idea? Yeah, that works too 🙂
If you want to make jewelry that is always going to be in style, black and white jewelry components are for you. They’re great in winter, fabulous in summer, look good with most colors, and are clean and modern. They work!
Any of these jewels would work on their own, “as is”, for easy and attractive pendants or earrings. Or combine them – black with white, both with one other color – you get the idea. Customize your jewelry and save money by doing it yourself. And your jewelry will look GOOD!
These “light colorado topaz” teardrops are one of the most popular jewels in my shop. They look festive year round but somehow around the holidays (and New Year’s!) they just specially work, you know? My customers love them. (And so do *their* customers!)
In this two-jewel “duo” setting, the topaz teardrops are paired up with tiny sparkling rhinestones – making it easy to customize them for earrings and pendants. Personalize your color choices!
And right now, they’re on sale! From today through midnight on Monday, August 12, when you buy one pair of these teardrops, you get the second pair free.
You’re going to love them!
I thought, maybe once in a while we should show the absolute basics on how to make earrings. Like so many things, it’s easy once you know. But you might never have looked closely at the little connectors, etc, so it’s still a mystery. Well – now it won’t be. You can create some fabulous jewelry with this simple technique. (Or go as fancy and complicated as you want, that’s the beauty of it!)
Add whatever extras and variations you like – you’ll love the customization – this is just the start 🙂
DIY earrings – save money – make gifts – or sell your jewelry!
And then you can go neutral – with style 🙂 This is not a “black and white” photo – this is a pic of neutral glass gems that have great presence!
The ovals and rivoli round glass gems are black diamond (neutral gray) – and the smaller crystal rounds add sparkle. This is just a reminder that when you make your own earrings, you can create style and pizzazz – with subtlety!
DIY earrings that are easy to make, don’t cost a lot, and look great. Customize them for your friends or your customers – take this idea and make it your own!
Do it yourself jewelry – yes you can do it! One of the best things about making your own jewelry for yourself, for gifts, and for customers is that you can create customized, personalized jewelry, for your giftee or your customer. Start with rich fall colors like these.
And adapt this idea with your own favorite colors – or your customer’s. I just wanted to point out how powerful color is! These are statement earrings – a big hit for Fall.
Color is your friend – and your collaborator. Take this idea, run with it, and make it your own!
I can’t believe it’s almost the end of summer, but the planet does keep moving whether we’re paying attention or not – and Fall isn’t far away. And that means Halloween is coming! I love Halloween – it’s kind of indulgent, it’s fun, you get to play dress-up – and it’s super cool when you can add a bit of Halloween decor to your house!
Now I’m not really a fan of orange and black at home. Just a personal thing. So when I found this fun Halloween wreath, in non-traditional colors, I was a happy camper! It’s got a skull: practically a requirement for Halloween. It’s also made with wonderful colors and a great artistic eye. Tres cool!
The shop is WreathDesignsStudio on Etsy. I haven’t asked (yet) but it’s possible that Pam, the artist, could make a terrific wreath in your customizable colors. And either way, she’s got many different styles and combos already, go peek! I think you’ll fall in love just like I did.
You can check out her Whimsical Wreaths by Pam facebook page too – you’ll find some fabulous wreaths, and I have to add, some animal and pet pictures and stories that will totally melt your heart 🙂
P.S. And of course, Christmas is coming too… and wreaths are so appropriate (and a thoughtful gift too!) Might help to remember that – just saying!
This jewelry design idea features a classic combination: hearts and flowers. The hearts shown here are rose pink, sheer vintage rhinestones that measure 12mmx12mm (about 1/2″ long). The brass filigree flower links have a light, antiqued patina – you could choose golden brass if you prefer. Other colors, other metal finishes would work – whatever suits your design aesthetic best.
These earrings would make a wonderful gift for a sweetheart or your mom – or just a fun pair of earrings to sell in your online shop! They’re a favorite with my customers – and they’re made with affordable, easy to use jewelry components.
