Customize these DIY earrings!

Yes, I love earrings – you probably figured that out! Without a lot of fuss, your jewelry – your earrings – can totally make your outfit! And they don’t have to be fussy or huge. And they don’t have to take a lot of work!

Sometimes you can just take pretty jewels, add your own touch (the tiny stones here for example, can be any color you want!) And voila: pretty earrings. Add earwires or posts, make earrings to gift or sell, or for yourself.

And you really don’t need to spend a lot of money. Seriously!

Golden topaz glass pendant with brass flower

Love this combination of sheer golden topaz faceted teardrop pendant, and a beautiful golden raw brass flower connector. It’s feminine without being “too lacy”, and with an adjustable golden chain (which is only sketched here in the pic) – it would work with a lot of different necklines.

Of course you’ll adapt this to your own style – your favorite color, maybe more beads or jewels. But this combination works and looks great and that counts, yknow?

Crystal cushion cut earrings – with chain

This is a classic style: crystal – glass gems with lovely faceting – in a beautiful pair of earrings. Enhance the gems, as shown here, with silver chain. Great movement, lovely sparkle, and the earrings are still lightweight!

Of course fashion changes every season, and we’re always looking for new styles. But sometimes it’s just smart to buy – or create! – a pair of earrings that look good today, with practically every style you can imagine. And that will look fresh and new and beautiful next year, and the year after that.

These earrings absolutely meet those criteria! You could wear these with a tank top and blue jeans (come on, you know you pictured that already!) You could wear them to work with a black dress.

You could wear them at your wedding (and isn’t that an irresistible picture!)

Do it yourself jewelry – to make, to wear, to sell. Just the way you want it!

Lariat necklace with faceted glass teardrops

I’ve been (re)visiting the idea lately of lariat necklaces. They are just so useful! Yes they can be lovely. But they’re extra special because they can be any length you need to wear with your outfit today.

Plunging neckline? Let the stones in the necklace dangle just to…there πŸ˜‰ High jewel neck blouse? Wrap your lariat necklace two or three times so it nestles just below the neckline of your shirt – or again, dangle long. You can adjust this to just the way you want it.

And of course like all handmade jewelry, you can choose the color – or colors – you like best. DIY? Love it!

Fuschia glass gems for your DIY jewelry

Vivid color is always fun to work with – and to wear! Case in point, I wanted to highlight some fuschia stones in my shop right now πŸ™‚

Of course this pic shows only two of the gorgeous stones I have in fuschia pink – but just as an example, look how well these two shapes would pair up to make pendants or dangling earrings!

And you know what I like to do sometimes – if you decided to order these two shapes (yes they’re sold separately) – you get to pick another pair of stones for yourself, as a freebie. Doesn’t matter what color or shape – you get a freebie. After you order the two stones shown in this pic, just send me a note to let me know what you want for free!

This offer is only good through midnight on Tuesday, June 24, 2025 – so don’t wait too long. And remember to have fun!

Sapphire sheer glass gems for your DIY jewelry

I wanted to show off some new pics of sapphire sheer glass gems I have in my shop right now. They’re some of my favorites! And hey, customer favorites too. And you know as well as I do that blue is a color that looks great all year round. Just saying!

The beautiful thing about these sapphire stones (well aside from the fact that they really are lovely!) is that you can use them “as is” and have great DIY jewelry. Yes they’re terrific combined with other colors and shapes and I’m going to highlight a few of those coming up soon. But used alone, as pendants or earring components, they’re still fabulous!

And from today through midnight on Wednesday, June 18, when you buy any of the sapphire glass jewels in my shop (a pendant or a pair) you get one free. Just mention this blog post after you order – and let me know what freebie you want!

SALE! Buy three, get one free!

Yes, I’m having a year-end sale! Or Beginning of 2025 Sale. Whatever works, yknow? For this particular sale, every item in my shop is on sale! The pic shown here features just a few of the new and vintage glass gems and other jewelry supplies that are on sale πŸ™‚

How does it work, you ask? (I know you did!) Order any three items – and get another one for free. Equal or lesser value, that’s the one rule. But other than that? You choose. When you order – three items, remember – just let me know what you want for free. Order six items (of one listing, or six different ones, or two items from three listings, or however it adds up to six items) and you get two items for free.

And yes, if you order 30 items, you get 10 items free. Don’t wait, this is only through midnight on Wednesday, January 1, 2025 (that sounds so cool!)

Yes I’ll be having more super sales. But this is a good start!

A Handmade Mask – and great neighbors

My husband noticed that our new neighbors were working on their lawn and went over to offer his weed eater to them – just being friendly and maybe helpful. Yes, he was being careful – they didn’t shake hands, and he was wearing a double-folded, high-cotton Harley Davidson Bandanna mask, so he was covered. During the course of the casual conversation, New Neighbor happened to ask if we had any actual masks. Nope, we were using bandannas and scarves – and mostly just staying home and avoiding people!

Yard chores finished (for the moment), DH came home, said the new folks seemed like good people, and we went about our day.

Later on, out of the blue, a package with two masks appeared on our porch. Just a friendly gesture, yknow? A gift from our new neighbors. The masks are beautifully made, fitted onto the face as they should be, and created with tightly woven cotton, which is supposed to be the most effective fabric to use.

I wanted to show off the one I will be proudly wearing on those few errands to the outside world!

So now I have a handmade mask that’s pretty cool. And the neighbors?

Are very cool πŸ™‚

P.S. Oh! I almost forgot to mention, my mask is reversible. Here’s the other side:
