White multi-stone glass gems for Christmas gift ideas!

I thought I would focus this time on some of the two-stone or multi-stone gem settings I have available in my shop right now! And especially the white glass gems because (1) they go with everything, and (2) Christmas is coming soon!

These are great DIY jewelry supplies for Christmas gifts. For one thing, they’re lovely. That’s important! They’re also affordable and easy to use – add earwires and you’re good to go! Of course you can use them in more complex designs as well. They can also be customized – with these “two jewel” settings, you pick the color of the tiny round stone. So you can choose your mom’s favorite color, or match the tiny stone to your daughter’s birthstone. Or, well, you get the idea – you choose!

Easy to make jewelry ideas that are customizeable and affordable. This is a *great* idea for Christmas – or other special occasions! And of course, white customized jewelry is perfect for wedding jewelry! (But you already thought of that!)

Aqua blue glass stones – the March birthstone color!

If you stop to think about it, knowing designated birthstones and birthstone colors can be really handy. Suppose you want to give someone a bit, and you know they love jewelry, and you really don’t want to spend precious – expensive – gemstone money. We all know what that’s like, right?

But knowing the month’s gemstone colors can work. Sometimes it’s not even appropriate to spend big bucks on a gift for a friend, potential girlfriend, cousin, whoever is your giftee. But spending moderate dollars on things that she’ll like, that are a bit personalized – like her birthstone? That’s definitely appropriate.

So we know that the birthstone for March is aquamarine. And the birthstone color… is aqua blue. Here you go – some gorgeous glass gemstones in aqua!

And yes there are more aqua stones in my shop. Go peek!

Elegant Neutral Glass Jewels – Customizeable!

Another vote for neutral glass jewels! Yes I love color, don’t get me wrong. But sometimes neutrals – gray, cream, black – speak quietly. But with great panache (love that word). Neutral has power!

And many times you don’t want your earrings (or tiny pendant) to compete with your outfit. You want quiet – but gorgeous. These earring jewels do that.

And – bonus! These are customizeable. You pick the color of the tiny round stone at the top of the setting. Use light gray (black diamond) as shown here. Or sparkling crystal. Or vivid aqua! There’s a whole list of colors to choose from. Go pick the combo that works best with your bridesmaid dresses, or your best Business Suit. Custom jewelry – and affordable. This works!

Birthstone colors – November through February

It’s always a good idea to keep birthstone colors in mind, for the gifts you want to give or product you want to make. Note I didn’t say “birthstones”, which implies precious gems. Those are wonderful of course, but we don’t all have the budget for them. Birthstone colors, on the other hand, are every bit as appropriate – and we can all do this.

Right now let’s focus on birthdays from November through February. So, your birthstone colors would be:

November – golden topaz
December – blue zircon (teal or turquoise)
January – garnet red
February – amethyst purple

So for your birthday girls, or customers that are requesting birthstones – you know you can make their special jewelry. Don’t spend a fortune – make lovely DIY jewelry that doesn’t cost a lot. You’ll love it – and so will they!

Personalized earring design idea with glass jewels and brass hearts

A new, personalized earring design idea – I wanted to show off one way to use the heart-shaped, brass stamping tags. It’s such a wonderful – and easy – way to personalize your jewelry!

Stamping tags are pretty great. It’s not hard to find the steel letters to make the stamped impressions (let me know if you need help finding some). And with two heart tags, you can add initials to any jewelry item. Or use several and spell out your child’s name, or your favorite word, or the name of a team you love, or… well just anything you think would be fun to wear and share with the world!

The glass jewels I use here are 12x12mm “cushion cut” octagons (a classic square octagon shape with rounded corners). Of course you could use whatever jewels you love the most. Add the tags with jump rings, slip on some earwires, and you’re good to go! Personalized jewelry – that’s easy to make and doesn’t cost a lot. The best kind of DIY!
