Sheer red octagons and sapphire vintage glass

The sheer glass rhinestones shown in this pic are not pale tiny stones – they’re strong, transparent rhinestone gems. Yes the sapphire blue vintage glass rounds are small, 8mm in diameter (close to 1/4″) – but look at that strong color! They’re a great complement to other colors (see how good they look with red) – and small enough to be pretty “as is”, used as tiny earring drops.

And they’re great with the sheer red glass octagons. Try the combo shown here – or pick your favorite colors.

And as always, have fun!

Rose pink and white drop earrings

You probably noticed that in the pic below, I’m showing another way to use slender glass pears that measure 13mm x 8mm – approx. 1/2″ x 1/4″. This time I’m pairing vintage white pears with rose pink octagons. The colors are terrific together, and the contrasting shapes really work too, I think. Of course these are only a couple examples of the colors you can find in my shop. But you knew that already 😉

Seriously, I’d love to see examples of the color combinations you try! And hey, just because I like to tempt you, from today through July 1, 2026, if you buy one pair of the white 13x8mm pears, you get another pair free – in that same size – but any color you want to try! Just send me a note after you order, and we’ll figure out what your freebie will be.

Have some fun with this!

Aqua Pears – and Red Pears

The faceted rhinestone pears I’m showing in this pic are different colors than I would normally use, but I had them on my worktable and thought… hmmmm, let’s try it! Of all the pears (or teardrops) in my shop I think it’s kind of interesting to actually try combinations I wouldn’t normally use. And the aqua and red are fun together!

So hey, try that yourself… Pull out some of your stash and try combinations you normally wouldn’t. Of course some will be…not great. But some of them will be very cool! By the way – I also think it is totally okay to combine different metal finishes. Use both gold and silver in the same earrings or necklace. Seriously, why not? Because it breaks A Rule? (Yeah, so…)

I’m going to play with that idea myself. And yes I’ll share pics!
